"Spies Like Us are hugely gifted, and it feels like you are being let in on a secret when you watch one of their shows." - Everything Theatre
We are Spies Like Us, an ensemble physical theatre company based in London. Comprised of seven members, we all cut our teeth making fringe theatre as members of the fantastic Young Pleasance.
Formed in early 2017, we are committed to producing endlessly inventive theatre with a focus on devised visual storytelling which puts movement at the forefront of the narrative; a style that has captured our collective imaginations.
After a combined 30 appearances in productions in the Pleasance’s Youth Company, Spies Like Us was formed to produce Our Man In Havana, our award-winning debut show which played at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe as the Pleasance’s 2017 XYP company.
Following sold-out runs in Edinburgh and London, we returned to the Edinburgh Festival Fringe in 2018 with a fresh and critically acclaimed adaptation of Buchner’s Woyzeck supported by Pleasance Futures.
In 2019, we return to the Pleasance Courtyard with our brand new show, Murder on the Dancefloor, supported by Pleasance Futures and as one of the New Diorama Theatre's Emerging Companies 2019/20.
